11β,13-Dihydrotaraxinic acid - Introduction
11β,13-Dihydrotaraxinic acid(11β, 13-dihydrosedum acid) is a natural product with the chemical formula C20H26O5. It is a white crystalline solid with a melting point of about 185-187°C. The compound was isolated from a plant Taraxacum platycarpum and is therefore also known as a derivative of sedum lactoside.
11β, 13-dihydrosedum acid has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It is widely used in traditional Chinese medicine and is considered to have anti-cancer, antibacterial and antiviral effects. Studies have shown that 11β, 13-dihydrosedated acid has an inhibitory effect on tumor cells and also has a regulatory effect on the immune system.
As for the preparation method, at present, the method of natural plant extraction is mainly used for preparation. First, sedum lactoside was extracted from Taraxacum platycarpum, and then converted to 11β, 13-dihydrosedum acid by chemical conversion reaction.
In terms of safety, because 11β, 13-dihydroclastogenic acid is a natural product, it has good safety and tolerance. However, as a chemical substance, it still needs to be used with caution. Adequate safety assessment is recommended before use and in the correct dosage. In addition, it needs to be stored in a cool and dry place to avoid exposure to light and high temperature.
